Montserrat Seró and Grzegorz Mart bring two essential dimensions to La Viñenale: voice and image. The Lleida-born soprano and the visual artist take part in the closing concert on 24 September at the Seu Vella.

Montserrat Seró
Soprano
Montserrat Seró began her musical training in Lleida at the age of six, as a violinist at the Conservatory of Lleida. After taking part in several vocal projects, she specialised in classical performance at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu. She later completed the Victoria de los Ángeles Master’s Degree in Lied at ESMUC.
She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Madama Butterfly and West Side Story, appeared at the Teatro Real in Helena Cánovas’s contemporary opera Don Juan no existe, and made her debut at the Teatro de la Maestranza as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She has collaborated with ensembles including the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Orquestra Victoria de los Ángeles and Vespres d’Arnadí, and has performed at venues such as the Palau de la Música Catalana.
Since 2022, she has received several First Prizes and scholarships in competitions including Mirabent i Magrans, Tenor Viñas and the Certamen de Zarzuela de Valleseco. In recognition of her vocal talent, her clear commitment to lyric theatre and the development of her career, she received the 2025 Ópera Actual Award for Most Promising Young Artist.
Grzegorz Mart
Visual artist
Grzegorz Mart is one of Poland’s most recognised classical music photographers. He is also a filmmaker, visual artist, performer, painter and historian of medicine. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and the Łódź Film School.
In his documentary work, Mart seeks to capture the unique atmosphere of each event. Drawing on his experience in both visual and performing arts, he creates images that go beyond simply recording what happens, seeking instead to preserve and reinterpret the emotions surrounding each moment.
His artistic practice is closely connected with music and includes video art, live visual performances, video compositions and the creation of visuals for concerts, orchestras and artists. This experience also shapes his distinctive approach to photography and film.
His concert photography, documentation of rehearsals and backstage life, films and portraits of musicians and conductors have led him to collaborate with some of the most prominent institutions and artists in classical music, both in Poland and internationally.
