Grants
To facilitate the participation of selected candidates, the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition offers travel grants and additional grants for semifinalists who do not advance to the final.
GRANTS FOR PERFORMANCES AND TRAVEL
TRAVEL GRANTS
The organisation will provide accepted candidates with practical information about traveling to Lleida, as well as a list of different accommodation options in the city. The competition has special rates with several hotels in Lleida. All information will be provided upon confirmation of the participant's attendance. Accommodation will be the responsibility of the contestant, although the organisation will offer grants to all 18 selected candidates of €150 per participant.
PERFORMANCES BY SEMI-FINALISTS
On June 27, 2025, the 5 semifinalists who are not selected for the final are invited to give performances in Lleida on that day. These performances will be compensated with a grant of €300 for each semifinalist not advancing to the final. The 3 finalists, having reached the final, will not receive this financial award.
The performances will take place in Lleida, and the specific venue will be announced during the reception of the contestants. The programme for the performances will be based on the repertoire presented during the competition.
These amounts are subject to legal deductions.
VISAS
The competition is available to assist candidates with the necessary documents to obtain a visa, if required. This process can be initiated after the contestant’s participation is confirmed.
CONDITIONS IN CASE OF ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT
The organisation is not responsible for expenses arising from accidents or illnesses that may occur during the candidates' stay in Lleida. Candidates are advised to have medical insurance that covers any incidents during the competition.
